In this presentation, Cline Williams attorneys Nathan Clark and Harrison Kratochvil will discuss the basics of IP protection for software and offer some best practices on creating or obtaining rights in software. Nathan will address copyright protection in software and will cover the latest developments in how the contours of that protection, and functionality in particular, have developed in the case law. He will also offer best practices in licensing or transferring rights in software programs.
